dejablue 224x300 Deja Bryson @ Monday Soul If you are ever in the Bay Area and looking for something to do Mondays, make sure you check out #MondaySoul at New Parish presented by Jareem, DJ D Sharp and Mr. JE.  There’s a plethora of real amazing talent in the Bay Area: Erk Tha Jerk, London, Samm, J.Meyers, Netta Brielle just to name a few, and at #MondaySoul they highlight these artists.

Last night, I went to #MondaySoul like I normally do, and the performer this week was Deja Bryson, and let me tell you she’s the truth.  She’s the complete package, good looks, good stage presence, subtle sex appeal, classy—and did I forget to mention she has an AMAZING VOICE.

She had a really dope set: bringing a boy on the stage as she serenaded him, then kicked him off the stage serenading him with music from fellow Bay Area artists—Erk Tha Jerk with “Right Here” and R.O.D with “I Can’t Stand You.”   She was singing her behind off.

If you aren’t familiar with Deja Bryson check her out on Twitter at @Dejabryson, or check out her website at Deja Bryson.  After seeing her perform, I’m a fan of her music because she actually fills the void of a lot of what’s missing in R&B right now.  To me as an observer, it appears the artists can’t sing, but use sex appeal to get them over with some exceptions, but she has blatant sex appeal—she had on lingerie under a blazer with fishnets, but it’s classy, not trashy by any means.

Support Deja Bryson and get her album,  “I’m Power,” on ITunes here.

Also, make sure you go to #MondaySoul next week, performer is Erk Tha Jerk. For more information about #MondaySoul make sure you either e-mail at contactmondaysoul@gmail.com, or contact the founders via Twitter:  @MrJe, @Jareem24, and @DjDSharp
