Kem intimacy Kem | Intimacy III Album Review (@KEM Intimacy)Out of the spotlight for five years, Kem finally returns to the spotlight with his new album Intimacy III, and it was well worth the wait.

Using the same formula found in his previous albums: Kemistry, and Album II– warm ripples of keyboards, great lyrics and great vocals, Kem creates the perfect project with more depth oozing with sensuality.  This album shows a clear growth for Kem, but still remains safe enough to allow his fans to remain devoted.

Listening to this album,  I was reminded of a section from the book The Art of Seduction, by Robert Greene where he basically states, words are the number one way to seduce, and this is true, I think I was seduced eight different times on this ten track album.

Despite the whole album being great, there are definitely clear standouts.  First, “Can You Feel It,” the lyrics instantly drew me into the song, “For every woman who needs a man/ there’s a man that needs you too/ maybe I’m that man for you.”  “Human Touch” is a very sexy song, when I first heard it, I was like “okay player!”  The lyrics, “Girl your my favorite time of the year, can I kiss your toes.”

“Share My Life,” I’m sure has taken the spot of “Make Me Whole” for my wedding song, everything about this song is just so beautiful.  Kem sings, “Girl my sun sets anywhere you are/ maybe I’m a dreamer, your still my queen/ your love is like an river, it flows right through me.”   “If It’s Love” featuring Maruissa Rose is another great song, her voice is amazing, and the two of them together–the soulful powerhouse and the mellow vocalist blend well together.

The lead single from the album, the radio friendly, “Why Would You Stay” is another great song on the album, along with: “Golden Days” featuring Jill Scott,  and “If It’s Love” just to name a few.

This album is great if you didn’t get my point, one of the things I think that is so beautiful about this album is the fact that these songs evoke feelings in me, whether it’s sexual desire, seduction or the desire to be in love, or loved to see if all these words he sings about could come true.

Great album, support it and great music. 5/5 stars.
