Bilal’s album, Airtight’s Revenge, that came out in October of 2010, is easily one of the most organic, eclectic projects, and one of the greatest works in his discography.  If you don’t have that, you must get it ASAP!  Here is Bilal performing “Restart” from the album in Portland.

VTech Phones & Fresh Selects presents yet another stellar show at Portland, Oregon’s most respected night – The Fix.  This time, the headlining guest was the one and only Bilal – who after an opening DJ/beatset from SA-RA producer Shafiq Husayn, tore the house down with an over 90-minute performance with his full 5-piece band. Captured on the video is the band running through a live, much more jam-oriented, rendition of the song, “Restart” – the first single from Bilal’s current full-length, Airtight’s Revenge.  Included in this special extended clip are an abundance of “Bilal-ism’s,” if you will, such as impromptu scatting, interplay with his guitarist, unpredictable dances, shrieks and so much more that make a Bilal show the special occurrence that is.
