One day, like a year ago or something of that sort, I was on a stroll down BandCamp lane (not to be confused with hoe stroll) and came across this really dope producer from the Bay Area, PostModern Escape Artist and his project Last Train To Nowhere.
After my initial meeting with him, I in a way, I will admit, became a musical stalker waiting to see what else he was going to put out, when he was going to put it out and what his inspirations were. I wondered why he wasn’t one of the artists that well known in the Bay Area music scene because let’s face it– a lot of the Bay Area’s musical culture is pretty segregated, or a popularity contest. I found him, interviewed him which you can read here, and wrote a little blurb about him for The Examiner which you can read here, and I spoke with him then about a project he was set to release which at that time was To Make Ourselves Into Stars.
Now, PostModern Escape Artist just released his latest installment, Lone Moon Complex which is a pretty dope project once again. Not only is this a new EP, this is also the young sir’s new alias. This shows how late I am that this project was definitely released in March– I just didn’t even know about it. Sad face! This project is a little different than his first project, however, it’s a nice progression from the project before this. Pretty cool, interglatic, all that.
