The Red Bull Music Academy will hit New York City this summer from September 30th to November 2nd and the application process is now open at www.redbullmusicacademy.com.  In hopes of offering potential applicants a taste of the RBMA experience, various info sessions with after parties have been taking place all over the world.   The RBMA came to San Francisco and had some pretty cool shows notably, Gary Bartz Experiment with Bilal and Aloe Blacc, and in the Los Angeles dates featured Ali Shaheed Muhammad of A Tribe Called Quest and Maseo of De La Soul offering their thoughts on their careers while playing tribute to the great J.Dilla.  Here are the two lectures moderated by Cognito of Frolab with both Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Maseo as well as audio from their live DJ Sets at LA’s monthly hip-hop party, “BOOMBOX,” which was also their yearly J.Dilla tribute night.
