Quantic & Alice Russell‘s upcoming album, Look Around The Corner, is slated to enter stores April 3rd via Tru Thoughts Records. Helping to build anticipation for the project, the duo released the title track a few weeks ago, and now here is another new track from the album, “I’ll Keep My Light in My Window,” in both visual form, and audio.
Both the video and audio for this mini documentary were captured at a direct to disc recording session in the Carvery Studios in Hackney London in August during the 2011 Riots. ”I’ll Keep My Light In My Window” is one of Russell’s all-time favorite songs which has scarcely sounded better than in this current incarnation, on which she exercises her famed powers as a classic soul vocalist.
If you are like me, and can’t wait to see Quantic & Alice Russell live, the two will be doing dates at SXSW, in Los Angeles (for an epic show that I am really mad writing about because I can’t go and I am really, really, really, really, really, really, really bitter) as well as a date in San Francisco– which I will be taking my dad to for his birthday. TRUST ME, you will want to mark your calendars for their April 3rd release.
