Since his last release, the 2010 Album of The Year, which was a rather declarative statement, Detroit based producer/emcee Black Milk has managed to stay somewhat in the background.
Along with emcees Guilty Simpson, and Sean Price, he released their self-titled debut, Random Axe. Black Milk also released his collaborative EP Black & Brown, with fellow Detroit repper, Danny Brown, and is currently working on an album with vocalist Melanie Rutherford who is essentially the go to hook girl for a majority of Detroit based artists.
Now, Black Milk is going back on the road, for his 25-date Claps and Slaps Tour. Joining Black Milk on the road is Seattle based emcee J.Pinder, as well as Texas based duo ADd+. For the tour’s San Francisco stop at 330 Ritch, which will be presented by Candlestick Kids and 330 Ritch March 22nd, the tour will be opened by local artists making pretty big names for themselves: Moe Green, Chuwee, C-Plus and N-Pire, all representing Vallejo and Sacramento.
If you are interested in attending the show, make sure to purchase tickets here. However, I am giving away free tickets! All you have to do is tweet me @bellametaphor, with the name of at least one of Black Milk’s albums. Easy enough right?
