Every time I write out a post about singer Anthony David, I feel the need to be extra, extra wordy — so here it goes.
I remember I saw Anthony David for the first time, when he was touring with India Arie. He was her opening act and he was singing this song called “Smoke One.” The pothead father of mine (sorry dad) really liked the song and purchased his album — which I stole and put on my computer, burnt the CD and would listen it at school when I was in school early mornings.
Since songs like “Smoke One” and my personal favorite Anthony David song “Lady,” the singer has blossomed and kind of progressed somewhat from his soulful sound incorporating various elements within the soul, which is shown with his new funky effort “Can’t Look Down.”
This song, made it’s home on David’s new album, Love Out Loud, which was released November 17th. Following the first single from the album, “Sweet Pain,” David released the new visuals for this song today. Instead of turing to a sexy visual (here) David creates an adorable and romantic video with some pretty eye candy featuring singer Sepsenahki.
Make sure if you have not, get David’s album here — he got my boo Algebra out of musical hiatus.
