One of my favorite voices this year has been El Perro Del Mar. How lovely is her voice? After hearing “Walk On By” earlier this year, I’ve been hooked. Not to mention, the Pale Fire album is an amazing album.
That being said, this morning, Pitchfork TV, El Perro del Mar, premiered her latest installment “Hold on Fire.” The song is the second single from the album, and an obvious fan favorite. The video which was filmed at INGMAR’s HQ in November and features production from belle and light.
Great song, great album, great voice. If you aren’t familiar with Pale Fire, I definitely want to encourage you to do so now. Purchase the album here.

The lede song, “Pale Fire” -– I feel very close to it. It’s the first song I wrote for the album. That has to do a lot about finding love in a world that is quite dark. There’s another song about politics called “I Carry the Fire” that was inspired by the Arab Spring and the happenings in the Middle East. I think it’s good that people are protesting and people should do that more!
