If you know me, you know I’m kind of a Kimbra stan.  I’m even going to New York realistically just to see her for my birthday.

Her album, Vows, is one of my favorite albums that came out this year and here’s one of the tracks from the album in the form of “Come Into My Head.”  The video has only been out for three days and has over 243,000 views.  The video is cute, I think it shows Kimbra’s (in my head) personality well.

If you have not yet, make sure to purchase Kimbra’s debut album here.

Sense Sotu The Traveller Rise Shine Stream: SENSE & Sotu the Traveller Rise & Shine

Late post, but yes.  I just discovered this stream while browsing around the net — man, LOVE.  This is the new collaborative project from Amsterdam producer, SENSE and producer/DJ and composer Sotu The Traveller.

This album works as the follow-up to their collaborative debut from Project Moon Circle’s compilation The Moon Comes Closer.  Now, the two are working together again with their new project, Rise & Shine. The project was released on label Beats Broke and features collaborations from Esperanzah, and my personal favorite Ninthe on “More of Me.”

Listen to the stream below, and make sure to purchase the album — it’s lovely.

*also – “So Beautiful” featuring “Hicoup” is dope.**

S3 dont stop miles bonny brenk sinatra 400x400 S3 Dont Stop

Yeah, when I first saw this song pop up around the blogosphere, I was a little confused on who/what S3 was.  But, I heard something quite familiar.  My man, Miles Bonny.

After discovering the singer a few years ago via BandCamp, I’ve become an epic fan, and with this track and new collaboration with Brenk Sinatra – the pairing don’t disappoint.

The duo will be releasing their self-titled collaborative project October 27th, and here’s one of the first tastes from the project that listeners are introduced to.  From this indication and Bonny’s existing discography, I am assuming this will be a soulful project complete of great music.

Make sure to be on the look out for the release, and listen to the stream below.

nodoubt No Doubt, Sunday Videos

Well, I’m completely excited that No Doubt’s new album Push and Shove, will be coming out this Tuesday.  So excited that as soon as I found out they were having a new album, I wrote it on the calendars at work.

See, Gwen Stefani is like one of my favorite celebrities.  She’s pretty, spunky, wears cute clothes, and has abs to die for.  She has a nice voice, and I just love No Doubt.

I went to see them a few years ago with Paramore, and I was the girl in the audience who was trying to dance like the ska kids or whatever and got whiplashed twice (true story, my life).  It was a great show though.  So, with that being said, to celebrate the upcoming release I thought why not make a post of my five favorite No Doubt videos/songs.  Note, my favorite No Doubt song “Marry Me,” has no video, but it’s the greatest.

Make sure to pre-order No Doubt’s album Push and Shove, via ITunes here. If you were a little overly anxious like me you can already preview all the tracks.

1 Jose James Its All Over Your Body

Jose James has become a name synonymous with soul, jazz and great song writing.  The singer is on the verge of releasing his highly anticipated album, No Beginning No End, in the beginning of 2013 (his debut on the legendary Blue Note Records).

Prior to the release, James just released his new EP; It’s All Over Your Body.  This is the title-track from the project and it lovely.  For the track, James recruits some really dope musicians to help – Robert Glasper on the piano, Chris Dave on drums, Corey King on trombone and Pino Palladino on bass.

This track is lovely, and I definitely can’t wait to hear the complete album from Mr. James.  If you are lucky enough to be in the UK somewhere, make sure to check out Jose James today during the ITunes Music Festival.
